A Little Bit About Me and My Trip

Hello. My name is Roxy Reisch and I’m 14 years old. I will be heading to Madagascar on May 20, 2016. We will be researching local wildlife, DNA barcoding, working on the project One Cubic Foot, and working with the local people to educate them on sustainability and how to preserve the 10% of the rainforest that is left. Scientists from the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester, NY and the Smithsonian in Washington, DC will be traveling with us to Africa. David Liittschwager will also be traveling with us and photographing the species of animals in Madagascar. We will be making ground braking research never done before on this mysterious island. Few people know the wonders of Madagascar and soon I will be one of the few who know.
